Last visit

Today we made our last visit to the orphanage. The next trip there will be on Monday to PICK LILIA UP! We are tired of the visits and are ready to bring her back to the hotel. Tommorow we will not see her because it is Sunday, and I guess she will be in fasting and prayer all day. We can't wait. We made a trip to a babystore today (for supplies, not babies) and got food and wipes and all that junk. I can't believe we are going to have to change diapers again, yuck. Tommorow we will shop for a hat and I am going to look for a drinking glass that is bigger than these hotel cups. I mean, when I'm thirsty I don't want 15 shots of water I want something I can chug.

Today, all 4 American couples met in the 3rd floor lobby to eat pizza and visit. Two couples will be leaving Monday, which will leave us and another couple. After dinner, we went out to the Peter the Great Square and were eaten by mosquitos (mostly Andi). We stopped by a little whole-in-the-wall store in an alley behind the hotel. They have the best prices on water, snickers, and coca-cola. It's sad to think we won't be able to pass on any of these great finds to another couple (since no one else will arrive before we leave). Now, Andi does laundry in the bathroom tub, after that we will watch a movie and head to bed.

We miss you all, especially our boy, and hope to be home soon.
Each day draws us closer to a dream that started many years ago.
Thanks for your posts. They are fun to read, and we love hearing about your lives in the States.

Yea! only 1 more day and she's yours!

C. has been such a big help today. We have to remove the siding from the back of the house for construction and he has worked right alongside Papa. He even got up the nerve to climb up on the scaffolding, with a little help of course. No Andi, he didn't climb too high. Papa was very careful with him. He is quite a hard worker when he likes what he is doing.

Tonight the guys are going to the local race track to watch crazy people drive loud cars in circles around a dirt track. Doesn't sound like much fun to me, but C. is really looking forward to it.

Jonah, have you considered doing a cooking show? KB thought the 2 of you were hilarious in the movies you left for him.

He caught another catfish last night, but it's becoming old hat for him now. It will take a huge fish to get him really excited.

The dogs have torn up all their bedding and have nothing to sleep on but rags and gravel. I think they will just have to put up with it for the duration of Fin's visit, but he'll probably need something new when he gets home.

Not to take away from the serious nature of this blog, but I am wondering if Jonah has attempted his Fiddler on the Roof voice impression there in Russia? The Fiddler story is set in Russia, you know. I always admired that talent of his.

Just curious.

I can't believe the moment is almost here!! How thrilling it must be. Our prayers will continue to be with you as you complete this journey. As for the diapers, it will come back in no time. Just remember, Elmo goes in front!

See you all soon!
